Box Compatriots!

The evil government of Cardboard Tube Fighting League (CTFL) has declared war against us and our way of life. CTFL does not allow “blocking or swinging with your arms.” Nor is “body slamming, lunging or stabbing”

I ask you, What is a life without body slamming?

No life at all.

This impotent interpretation of corrugated chaos should not be allowed to flourish. It is time to raise arms against the government of CTFL and their non-stabbing supporters. We shall stab, lunge and body slam them into submission.

Declaration of War:
Declaring that a state of war exists between the Government of Box Wars and the government and the people of the Cardboard Tube Fighting League and making provision to prosecute the same.

Whereas the Government of Box Wars has formally declared war against the government and the people of the Cardboard Tube Fighting League:

Therefore, be it Resolved by the Representatives of the Cardboard Tube Fighting League, that the state of war between the Cardboard Tube Fighting League and the Government of Box Wars which has thus been thrust upon the Cardboard Tube Fighting League is hereby formally declared; and the President is hereby authorized and directed to employ the entire naval and military forces of the Cardboard Tube Fighting League to carry on war against the Government of Box Wars; and to bring the conflict to a successful termination, all of the resources of the country are hereby pledged by the Cardboard Tube Fighting League.

Box Wars in Dolores Park SF after meeting a couple of the participants on the muni train.

A bunch of people dressed up in cardboard costumes, beating eachother with cardboard weapons.

On May 17th 2008, an epic cardboard LARP (Live Action Role Playing… duh!) battle spontaneously took place in Dolores Park.

In its second Orange County incarnation a brave 11 warriors continue the Auzzie cum Scottish tradition. Housed in the stucco hell that is Irvine, the corrugated chaos has been embraced by the US contingent happily.
